Explanation

  • To say that something happens until (or till) a time means that it stops at that time.

    To say that something happens by a time means that it happens not later than that time.

    (Be careful: Until is used with actions that CONTINUE up to a time, such as "STAY UP until 11 p.m." or "KEEP RAINING until morning". By can be used with actions that TAKE ONLY A MOMENT, such as "GO TO BED by 11 p.m." or "STOP RAINING by morning".)
  • something happens until (or till) a timeは、何かがある時が来たら終わるという意味です｡

    something happens by a timeは、ある時間（期限）までに何かが起こるという意味です｡

    注意： untilは、ある時までずっとその状態が続く場合に使います｡ 例： STAY UP until 11 p.m. (午後11時まで起きている), KEEP RAINING until morning(朝まで雨が降り続く)
    byは、ある瞬間に起こることについて使います。例： GO TO BED by 11 p.m. (午後11時までに床につく), STOP RAINING by morning(朝までに雨がやむ)
