(WINDOW/AISLE) SEAT   (窓際の/通路側の)席

Explanation

  • A seat by the window on a plane, train, etc. is called a window seat.

    The long narrow space for walking between rows of seats on a plane, in a theater, etc. is called the aisle. A seat next to the aisle is called an aisle seat.
  • 飛行機や電車などの窓際の席のことを window seat といいます。

    飛行機や劇場などの席と席の間の通路のことを aisle といいます。通路に面した席のことを aisle seat と言います。

  1. (an airline ticket agent)
    Would you like a window seat or an aisle seat?
  2. The bride looked so beautiful and happy as she walked down the aisle.
  3. On a short business trip, ask for an aisle seat near the front of the plane. On an overnight flight, try to get a window seat so you can rest your head.
