Thanks for joining us again! We have more "Words of Winter" for you. We suggest you read them someplace warm and dry, with a mugful of something hot and comforting!
SNOWDRIFT 雪の吹きだまり
- A snowdrift is a deep pile of snow, formed by the wind.
- snowdrift は、雪が風によって集められて深くなったところ、つまり、雪の吹きだまりのことです。
- Be careful of the snowdrifts today. The wind was blowing hard last night.
- We came back from a week in Hawaii to find 30 centimeters of snow on the ground and the front door blocked by a snowdrift a meter high.
- Koji hadn't been able to find his sled all winter. In the spring he found it buried in a snowdrift against the side of the house.
Don't forget to bundle up!
