2003.01.29
Hi!
Today's WordMaster looks funny and sounds silly, but is a terrific way to stop a cold before it really gets started.
GARGLE うがいをする
- To gargle is to take liquid (for example mouthwash or medicine) into the back of your mouth and then force air up from your throat through the liquid with a bubbling action.
- gargle は、液体(マウスウオッシュや、うがい薬など)をのどの奥に含み、ガラガラとすすぐこと、つまり、うがいをするという意味です。
- (to a child who's just come home from school)
Don't forget to wash your hands and gargle. - I gargle with mouthwash every morning to control my bad breath.
- My wife says that gargling with strong green tea can help prevent colds.
See ya!
