Explanation

  • A polite way to offer to do something or to agree to a request is to say, “I'd be happy to do it.”
  • 何かすることを申し出るときや、要求に応えるときには、I'd be happy to do it. と言うと、「喜んで~します。」という意味の丁寧な言い回しになります。

examples

  1. a: Could you look over these documents for me?
    b: Of course. I'd be happy to.
  2. I'd be happy to help. Just tell me what you'd like me to do.
  3. I'd be happy to meet with you to discuss the details.
  4. Their sales rep said that she'd be happy to email us their spring catalog.
