Some waters just can't sit still!

Today's Lesson
CURRENT   海流、流れ

Explanation

  • A current is a continuous movement of water in a particular direction, such as in the ocean or in a river.
  • current とは、海や川に見られるような、一定の方向に向かう継続的な水の動き、つまり、流れのことです。

examples

  1. The Kuroshio Current - also called the Japan Current - flows northeast along the Pacific coast of Japan.
  2. If you try to swim against the current, you'll never make it to the other side of the river. The current is stronger than you think.
  3. Don't swim too far from shore or you'll be carried away by the current.
