Hello, sports fans, and welcome to our live broadcast of the third round of the WordMaster Masters Tournament of Berlitz Rules English!

Today's Lesson
AHEAD / BEHIND (by 3 points)

Explanation

  • If a competition is not yet over and a person or team is ahead, they have more points than the other person(s) or team(s), are in the top or front position, have the best (for example, shortest) time so far, etc.

To be behind is to have fewer points or a worse time than the other person(s) or team(s), to NOT be in the top position, etc.
