RESIGN vs. FIRE 会社を辞める/解雇する
- (For an employee) to resign is to leave a job because he or she CHOOSES to.
(For an employer) to fire someone is to MAKE someone leave their job.
- 従業員が自分の意志で仕事を辞めることを resign と言います。
雇用者が社員を辞めさせることを fire と言います。
- Did you hear that Jack is resigning? He's planning to start his own business.
- My doctor told me I should resign from the company. He thinks I need to find a less stressful job.
- Adam had a fight with his boss and was fired from his job.
- The factory fired two employees for drinking at work.
