Hello again! Today we'll be looking at two words that have an honored place in every Japanese schoolgirl's vocabulary!

WHAT A CUTE (baby)! / WHAT A BEAUTIFUL (flower)!
かわいい(赤ちゃん)!/きれい(な花)!

Explanation

  • Use the expression What a cute ...! or What a beautiful ...! when you want to say 「かわいい!」 or 「きれい!」.

    Be Careful! When talking about two or more things, remember to drop the article “a” and say What cute ...! or What beautiful ...!
  • 日本語で「かわいい(...)!」、または「きれい(な...)!」と言いたいとき、英語では、What a cute (...)! または What a beautiful(...)! という表現を使います。

    注意:2つ以上のものについて話す場合は、aをつけずに What cute ...! または What beautiful ...! と言います。
