Explanation

  • To be ashamed is to feel embarrassed or bad about yourself because of something you did or because you are associated with a particular person or group.
  • be ashamed とは、自分がしたことのせいで、または、特定の人や集団と関わりがあるために、きまりの悪い思いをしたり、自分を悪く思ったりする、つまり、恥ずかしい、という意味です。
