EMBARRASS きまりの悪い思いをさせる
- To embarrass (verb) someone is to make them feel foolish, ashamed, or uncomfortable. (see Examples 1 & 2)
If you are embarrassed (adjective), you feel foolish, ashamed, or uncomfortable.
If a situation, conversation, mistake, etc. is embarrassing (adjective), it MAKES you feel foolish, ashamed, or uncomfortable. - embarrass (動詞)とは、相手のことを愚かだ、あるいは、恥ずかしいと思わせたり、不愉快な思いをさせたりする、という意味です。(Examples 1 & 2 参照)
embarrassed (形容詞)は、自分のことを愚かだ、あるいは、恥ずかしいと思わされる、不愉快な思いをさせられる、という意味になります。
状況や会話、失敗などによって、自分のことを愚かだ、あるいは、恥ずかしいと思わされる、または、不愉快な思いをさせられる場合には、embarrassing (形容詞)を使います。

b: You're kidding! That must have been so embarrassing! - The reporters asked the President some very embarrassing questions at yesterday's press conference.
