In order to have somewhere to plummet from, you usually need to climb first!
SOAR 急上昇する、急増する
- To soar is to rise or increase quickly.
- soar は、急激に上がる、または、増える、という意味です。
- Each example below is part of a fictional news report:
- There were many happy investors today as the stock market soared to record highs.
- There are many unhappy commuters on the nation's highways after gasoline prices soared another 25 cents a gallon in the last month.
- The dollar continues to soar against the yen, further proving the strength of the U.S. economic recovery.
- Soaring temperatures have put a strain on the region's electricity system.
How's the air up there?
