For Life
2008.02.29

Thanks for coming, for this very special edition of Berlitz WordMaster! If you did a double-take when looking at the calendar today, you're not the only one. It's been four years since we've been blessed with an extra day in February. So the event certainly deserves its very own Friday edition, don't you think?

Today's Lesson
LEAP YEAR   うるう年

b: No. Remember, it's a leap year, so there's an extra day in February.
  2. Leap years come only once every four years - like the World Cup.
  3. My grandmother was born in a leap year, 80 years ago today. She often jokes that she's only 20, because that's how many birthdays she's had.
