Explanation

  • To do something in advance is to do it before a particular time or before an event in the future.
  • do something in advance とは、特定の時間の前、または、将来の出来事の前に何かをしておく、という意味です。

  1. I usually try to make hotel reservations for the week of Obon at least 3 months in advance.
  2. If you buy movie tickets in advance rather than at the theater, they're usually cheaper.
  3. They finished the project well in advance of the May 15th deadline.
  4. Because you're traveling in the off season, you won't have to make plans very far in advance.
