Explanation

  • A waterfall or falls is a part of a river or stream that drops or flows rapidly from a high place.

    Be Careful[1]! We do NOT use the singular form “fall” to mean waterfall.

    Be Careful[2]! In names, we usually use the word Falls, NOT Waterfall.
  • waterfall または falls とは、川や小川の一部で、高いところから勢いよく水が落ちたり、流れたりするところ、つまり、滝のことです。

    注意[1]:「滝」の意味では、単数形の fall は、使いません。

    注意[2]:特定の滝の名前には、Waterfall ではなく、Falls を使います。
