- The social sector - often called the “third sector” to separate it from the public and private sectors - is the part of the economy controlled by non-governmental and non-profit organizations.
Commerce is the buying and selling of goods and services, especially on a large scale.
The adjective form is commercial, which can also mean “for the purpose of making money.” - social sector とは、公共セクターや民間セクターと区別するために、よく third sector (第三セクター)と呼ばれているもので、非政府組織や非営利団体が管理する経済活動の分野、つまり、社会セクターのことです。
commerce とは、特に大規模に商品やサービスを売買すること、つまり、商業のことです。
形容詞形は commercial で、商業の、という意味です。また、営利目的の、という意味もあります。
