  • A minor is a person who has not yet reached the age when you are considered an adult under the law.
  • minor は、法的に大人とみなされる年齢に達していない人、つまり、未成年者のことです。



  1. (high school student to checkout clerk)
    a: I'm just going to use the wine for cooking.
    b: I believe you, but I can't sell alcohol to a minor.
  2. (librarian)
    We try not to carry books that could be harmful to minors.
  3. (in a country where you become a legal adult at age 18)
    a: Can minors buy lottery tickets?
    b: No. You have to be at least 18 years old.
