2009.04.13(Review of 2004.09.13 edition)
Greetings!
What's your favorite way of getting around town? Do you prefer having four wheels beneath you or two? Is walking or riding a bicycle your style? Or would you rather have an engine do the work for you? Well, we'll be meeting all of these types and more, as this week the WordMaster takes to the streets!
PEDESTRIAN 歩行者
- A pedestrian is a person who is walking along a road.
- pedestrian とは、道を歩いている人のことです。
- The high school gets out (= the school day ends) about now, so watch out for pedestrians.
- You don't see many pedestrians on the street in this part of town, do you?
- A pedestrian was hit by a speeding car near the corner of 5th and Oak Streets.
- Every day from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., this street is closed to all but pedestrian traffic (= only pedestrians are allowed on the street).
Don't let anyone break your stride!
