Fridays and WordMaster! They go together like wine and cheese, or burgers and fries. (Which type are you?)
IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME. お久しぶりです。
- It's been a long time means that a lot of time has passed since you last saw someone or since you last did something.
- It's been a long time は、最後に誰かに会ってから、または最後に何かをしてから、長い時間が経っている、という意味です。
- a: Hi, Stacy. It's nice to see you. It's been a long time.
b: It sure has. It must be three years since we last got together. - (running into someone in the city)
a: Jack? Is that you?
b: Chris! Gosh, it's been a long time! - (after playing tennis for the first time in
five years)
a: My tennis game sure isn't what it used to be.
b: Well, it's been a long time, hasn't it?
Good job this week!
