Without a moment's delay, we bring you the Thursday WordMaster@Work!
DON'T HESITATE TO ご遠慮なくどうぞ
- A polite way to encourage someone to do something is to say, “Don't hesitate to do it,” which means “Don't be shy or unsure about doing it.”
- 誰かに何かをするように勧めるときの、丁寧な言い回しは Don't hesitate to do it. で、「それをすることをためらったり、不安にならなくていいですよ。」という意味になります。
- If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask.
- Don't hesitate to let me know if you disagree with any aspect of the plan. We'd like to hear everyone's opinion.
- Don't hesitate to take a sick day when you feel you need one. And that includes times when you're just feeling burned out.
Don't hesitate to visit us again. We'll be waiting!
