Here's a neat three-point play for any aspiring armchair quarterback!
AUDIENCE vs. VIEWER vs. LISTENER
- An audience is a group of people watching a movie or play, listening to a concert or speech, etc., together in the same place.
It is also the people who watch a TV program or listen to a radio program.
A viewer is someone who watches a TV program.
A listener is someone who listens to a radio program.
Be Careful! A viewer or a listener is ONE person, but an audience is a GROUP of people. - audience

I've never played in front of a large audience before. - Everyone in the audience was on their feet, clapping and cheering.
- Then the magician invited a member of the audience to come up and assist him.
- (2008 news report)
A television audience of one billion people is expected to watch the opening ceremony in Beijing. - Just imagine how exciting it must be to win a medal in front of thousands of spectators and millions of television viewers!
- (calling a radio DJ)
