If you were with us yesterday, then you know that you don't always need a ship in order to ship something. Keep that in mind as you read today's edition.

Explanation

  • Shipment and shipping both refer to the act of sending something by air, sea, train, or truck.

    A shipment is also a group of goods that are shipped together.

    Shipping can also mean the cost of sending something.
  • shipmentshipping は、いずれも航空便、船便、列車、トラックなどで、何かを送る行為をさします。

    shipment には、同時に発送される、ひとまとまりの品物、つまり、積み荷、発送品、という意味もあります。

    shipping は、何かを送るのにかかる費用、つまり、送料を意味することもあります。
