Explanation

  • Two or more businesses compete if they try to gain the same customers.

    Businesses that try to gain the same customers as yours are called competitors or the competition.

    Competition is also the act of trying to gain the same customers.
  • compete は、複数の企業が同じ顧客を獲得しようとする、つまり、競争する、という意味です。

    competitor または competition は、同じ顧客を獲得しようとする企業、つまり、競争相手のことです。

    competition には、同じ顧客を獲得しようとすること、つまり、競争、という意味もあります。
