One of America's leading business magazines did a story recently on the world's most expensive hotel rooms, and topping the list was a room at a resort in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas with the breathtaking price tag of $25,000 a night. Wow, some of our parents bought their first houses for that price!

A single bed is a bed for one person.
A double or double room is a room for two people.
A double bed is a bed that's big enough for two people.

room は、(ホテルや寮などの)一人用の部屋のことです。 single bed は、一人用のベッドのことです。
double または double room は、二人用の部屋のことです。
double bed は、二人で使える大きさのベッドのことです。
suite またはホテルの suite room は、例えばホテルのコネクティングルームなどの、一続きの部屋のことをさします。
