COVER (costs)   (費用を)支払うのに足りる、負担する
Explanation
To cover costs, expenses, etc., is to be or provide enough money to pay for something.
費用や経費などについて cover と言うと、何かの代金を支払うのに十分なお金である、または十分なお金を提供する、という意味になります。

examples
1 My salary barely covers expenses.
2 The company will only cover my travel costs while I'm attending the conference.
3 (co-workers deciding who's going to pay for lunch)
a:  Please put your money away. I'll cover this.
b:  No, this is on me. I insist.
