Good day to you! Are you enjoying the weekend?

Today's WordMaster follows from yesterday's.
NOTHING / NO ONE      何も〜ない/誰も〜ない

Nothing means not one thing.
No one means not one person.

Nothing and no one are used with a singular verb.

nothingは何もないこと、no oneは誰も〜ないという意味です。

どちらも単数扱いで、動詞もそれに合わせます。

1. There's nothing in this drawer. It's empty.

2. I have nothing to wear at the beach. I'll have to buy a swimsuit before we go to Hawaii.

3. There's no one in the office. Everyone must be at lunch.

4. No one ate the potato salad. It smelled really bad.
Have fun today!
