We're so glad you could make it again! It's been a couple of weeks since we gave you some Japanese English to think about, so we won't keep you waiting any longer.
Have fun! | ZIPPER / FASTENER ジッパー/締め具、留め具
A fastener is something -- such as a button, zipper, or snap -- that joins together two parts or closes an opening.
(Be careful: The Japanese word ファスナー is only used to talk about zippers.)
fastenerは、ボタンやジッパー、スナップのように、合わせ目を留めたり、口を締めたりする物全般をさします。
注意 : 日本語のファスナーはzipperの意味のみで使われています。
1. Snaps are the most popular fasteners for kids' clothes because they are easy for children to use.
2. Do you know how to open this bag? I've never seen a fastener like this before.
3. This pencil case is getting old. It's hard to close the zipper now.
4. Oh, no! I spent $110 on these jeans, and the zipper just broke! | Bye! |
