HOME>Word Master®>THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY おととい

Hi! How's your day been so far? Good? Not so good? Well, if today's WordMaster helps to make your day a little better, then that's about all we could ever hope for. Have fun with this one!

The day before yesterday means two days ago.

(Be careful: There is no single word, like the Japanese おととい, that means the day before yesterday.)

2日前のことを the day before yesterday といいます。

注意: 日本語の「おととい」のように the day before yesterday を1語で表す英語の単語はありません。

1.I was out in the rain without an umbrella the day before yesterday. I felt fine yesterday, but now my throat hurts a little.

2.It's been raining continuously since the day before yesterday. That's almost two whole days of heavy rain.
We'll continue again tomorrow with the theme ("Time") we began the day before yesterday. See you then!
