Hello! We're going to be taking a trip to the grocery store for the next three days, so make a list of the things you need, and join us!?

And don't forget to bring your coupons!

Explanation

  • If bread (or flour, muffins, etc.) is whole wheat, then it is made from the complete wheat grain.

When part of the wheat grain has been removed, we call flour made from such wheat "white flour" and bread made from this flour "white bread".

examples

  1. It's hard to find 100% whole wheat bread in Japan.
  2. (ordering at a coffee shop)
I'll take a whole wheat bagel and a cappuccino please.
  3. I prefer white bread because it's softer and lighter than whole wheat.
  4. Pancakes made from whole wheat flour taste twice as good as pancakes made from white flour.

It's been fun "breaking bread" with you!
