Explanation

  • One of the most common expressions used to propose is Will you marry me?

    Be careful:
    Do NOT say, "Will you get married to me?" This sounds unnatural and unromantic.
  • プロポーズの言葉として最もよく使われるのが Will you marry me?  （結婚してくれますか）という表現です。

    注意：
    Will you get married to me? とは言いません。これだと不自然でロマンチックな感じがしません。

  1. MAN: Will you marry me?
    WOMAN: Yes! I thought you'd never ask!
  2. MAN: Will you marry me?
    WOMAN: I'm sorry, but I'm not in love with you.
  3. I looked up into the sky and saw an airplane trailing a banner saying, Will you marry me?
