Explanation

  • An envelope is a flat, rectangular, paper container for a letter or card.
  • envelope は、手紙やカードを入れるのに使う、平たくて長方形の紙製の入れ物、――つまり、封筒のことです。

  1. I bought this birthday card for Mark, but look - it didn't come with an envelope!
