Explanation

  • A paper clip is a short piece of bent wire or plastic used to hold sheets of paper together.

    Be Careful! We do NOT usually use the word 'clip' alone like the Japanese クリップ to mean paper clip.
  • paper clip は、折り曲げた小さな針金、またはプラスチック製の道具で、紙を挟むためのもの――つまり、クリップのことです。

    注意:日本語の「クリップ」のように、clip と言っただけでは paper clip の意味にはなりません。
