WORK ON (SOMETHING) ~に取り組む
- To work on something means to spend time and effort doing it.
- work on something は、何かをするために努力をし、時間を使う、つまり、何かに取り組む、という意味です。
- a: What are you working on?
b: I'm trying to balance our accounts from last quarter. - Try not to disturb John today. He's working on his term paper, and it's due tomorrow.
- a: Do you want to get together for a drink tonight?
b: I can't. I have to work on my presentation for tomorrow. - I've been working on this proposal for the last six months. I'll be happy when it's all over.
- How many people are working on this project?
