Explanation

  • A middleman is a general term for a person or business who buys from the manufacturer and sells to another business OR directly to the consumer.
  • middleman は、製造業者から買って、別の会社や店、もしくは消費者に直接売る人物、または業者をさす、一般的な用語です。

examples

  1. I love shopping at factory outlets. I can cut out the middleman and buy directly from the manufacturer at big discounts.
  2. The key to this shop's success has been our ability to eliminate the middleman and pass the savings on to the customer.
  3. Investors can now trade online, making a middleman - the broker - unnecessary.
