Hi!
When you're in love and about to see that special person again, sometimes just stepping out the front door can feel like stepping into a dream! So what are you doing sitting at home when you could be out dancing and romancing?!
(GO/EAT/ASK) OUT
- Out can mean away from home for a social event. So to go out can mean to go to a movie, dinner, bowling, a party, etc., and to eat out means to eat at a restaurant.
To say that two people go out can also mean that they have a romantic relationship, and to ask out someone is to ask them to go on a date with you.
- a: Where's Helen?
b: She's out with her friends. Someone from school is having a dance recital tonight. - Can I borrow the car, Dad? I'm going out tonight.
- Satoru and I hired a babysitter and went out for a movie last night. It was nice having some time alone together.
- Do you mind if we eat out tonight? I'm too tired to make dinner.
- a: How long have you and Joey been going out?
b: Our first date was in December, so it's been about two months. - If you like her so much, why don't you ask her out?
Enjoy life today!
