- To leave is to go away from a place.
Be Careful! Look at the examples carefully and note when and how the words “for” and “from” are used after leave. - leave とは、ある場所から去る、という意味です。
注意: leave の後に、いつ、そしてどのように “for” と “from” が使われているか、下のexamplesをよく見て確認してください。
- (at a restaurant around closing time)
I think we should leave. All the other customers have gone already. - I leave the house at about 7:30 every morning.
- I leave for the office (= leave [the house] to go to the office) at about 7:30 every morning.
- a: Does your flight leave from Narita Airport?
b: No, we fly out of Haneda.
We have to leave now, but we'll be back again tomorrow!
