Disposable goods have made life very convenient and are usually cheaper than the reusable versions. But today's WordMaster should remind us that we may be paying a higher price for these goods than we think.
WASTE (n.) ごみ
- Waste is something that cannot be used or is not wanted.
- waste とは、使えないものや必要とされないもの、つまり、ごみのことです。
- Plastic waste in the oceans is becoming an important problem, since it can harm seabirds and other wildlife.
- In Japan, newspapers, cans, and bottles are usually recycled rather than thrown away as waste.
- I read somewhere that the average American produces about 2 kilograms of household waste (= waste produced at home) every day.
Have a nice day!
