Today's LessonCATEGORY:

Explanation

  • A chestnut is a smooth, brown nut that, while on the tree, is covered in a prickly shell. They're usually roasted or boiled and are eaten as snacks and used in cooking and in sweets.

Be Careful! In casual English conversation, the word “marron” is normally used only in the names of certain dishes and sweets, such as “marron glace” (マロングラッセ).
