- The tropics is the region of the earth near the equator, lying between 23.5 degrees north and 23.5 degrees south latitude.
Something (such as a fish, a disease, or weather) is tropical if it is from or is connected with the tropics. - the tropics とは、赤道をはさんで、北緯23.5度、南緯23.5度の間にある地域、つまり、熱帯地方、という意味です。
tropical とは、(例えば、熱帯魚や熱帯性の病気、あるいは熱帯性気候など)熱帯地方と関わりがある、あるいは熱帯地方に由来するもの、つまり、熱帯地方の、熱帯性の、という意味です。
