2007.01.17(Review of 2000.10.02 edition)
Greetings on this winter Wednesday! We're so very glad you could join us! Make yourself comfortable and enjoy today's WordMaster!
WHAT DO (you) THINK OF ...? ~についてどう思いますか
- If you want someone's opinion about something - for example, a friend's opinion of your new haircut - you can say, “What do you think of my new haircut?”
Be Careful! You don't have to use the word “think” when answering this question. - 人の意見を聞きたいとき、例えば、新しい髪形について友達の意見を聞きたいのであれば、What do you think of my new haircut?(新しい髪形をどう思う?)と言います。
注意:この質問に答えるときは、必ず think を使う必要はありません。
- a: What do you think of Tokyo, James?
b: It's much more exciting than my hometown. - a: What do your parents think of your new boyfriend?
b: They like him a lot. - a: What did you think of the movie?
b: I thought it was too long. The end was a little boring.
See you tomorrow!
