Just as it takes two (people) to tango, it takes two for any new job to begin!
HIRE / TAKE A JOB 雇う/職に就く
- To hire someone is to give them a job.
To take a job is to say yes to a job offer. - hire は、誰かを雇う、という意味です。
take a job は、(与えられた)職に就く、という意味です。
- Our company usually hires about 30 new people each year.
- We'd like to hire you, but we don't have any jobs available right now.
- a: How long have you worked for the company?
b: I was hired nine years ago. - I've decided to take the job. I start working next week.
- I don't really care what company I work for. If the salary is good enough, I'll take any job.
It's been fun!
