2007.04.20(Review of 2002.11.22 edition)

It's hard to believe that it's Friday already! We hope you agree that it's been a fun week. We've got one more WordMaster in our “How do you say that in English?” series. We hope you like it!

I KNEW IT!

Explanation

  • Use the expression I knew it! when you want to say 「やっぱり!」 because something you expected to happen has indeed happened. You can also say “I knew something WOULD happen,” or “I knew someone WOULD do something.”

Be Careful! Stress the word “knew”, as in I KNEW it!, when saying these expressions.
と言いたいときには、I knew it! I knew something WOULD happen.
