We know what you've come for - English enlightenment from the WordMaster himself! Well, today's edition will not disappoint!
GET (= understand) 理解する
- Get can mean “understand”.
- get は、理解する、という意味で使うことがあります。
- (after explaining how to solve a math problem)
a: Do you understand?
b: Yes, I get it now. - (the only person not laughing at a joke)
I don't get it. What's so funny? - I just don't get it. Why didn't you take the job? It was a terrific offer.
- I've read it twice now, but I still don't get the point of this chapter.
- BOSS: Take these files and review them before tomorrow's meeting. Also, bring some of the new wallpaper samples tomorrow, and be sure to include the “Wildflowers” pattern. I think they'll like that one.
EMPLOYEE: Got it!
a: Get it?
b: Got it!
a: Good!
