2008.05.02(Review of 2001.10.05 edition)
Just hours away from the four-day weekend (or has yours already begun?), we are pleased to be bringing you the Friday WordMaster!
CHANGE (your) MIND 考え直す
- To change your mind is to make a decision that is different from the one you had before or to have a new opinion about something.
- change one’s mind は、前に決めたことを変えたり、新しい意見を持ったりすること、つまり、考え直す、という意味です。
- He'll never change his mind. Once he makes up his mind to do something, he does it.
- I've changed my mind - I'm not going to Europe after all.
- a: I thought you were going to buy a desktop computer.
b: I was, but I changed my mind. With a laptop, I'll also be able to work at coffee shops once in a while. - If you change your mind about attending the event, please let me know by the 10th so that we can give someone else your place.
The four-day weekend is knocking at your door. Don't forget to give it an enthusiastic welcome!
