Hello!
When you'd like to see whether a new pair of jeans fits or not, you try them on. Here's a more general term for seeing whether anything - anything at all - is right for you!
TRY OUT (something) ~を試す
- To try out something is to test or use it in order to see if it's good or suitable.
- try out とは、役に立つか、または適しているかどうかを確かめるために、テストしたり使ってみること、つまり、試すという意味です。
- I can't wait to try out the new kayak this weekend!
- I like to try out different restaurants rather than going to the same places all the time.
- Did you notice that they're trying out someone new at the reception desk? I think she's going to work out well.
We hope that was a good fit!
