URGENT 緊急の
- Something is urgent if it needs to be done, read, considered, etc. immediately because it is important.
- urgent とは、何かが重要であるために、すぐにしたり、読んだり、検討したりする必要がある、つまり、緊急の、という意味です。

Can you have Mr. Johnson call me as soon as he returns? Tell him it's urgent. - a: Hi, Marsha! Can I talk to you for a minute?
