Explanation

  • Work is a serious activity such as a job, study (for school), etc., which requires effort and is intended to accomplish something.

    Play - the opposite of work - is something you do because you enjoy it.
  • work とは、真剣に取り組む活動、例えば、仕事や(学校の)勉強など、努力を要し、何かを達成するために行うことです。

    play は、work の反対で、自分が楽しむためにすることをさします。
