(Japanese) DESCENT 日系、血統、家系
- If someone is of, for example, Japanese descent, their parents or grandparents or great-grandparents, etc., were from Japan.
- 人について、例えば、 Japanese descent と言うと、その人の両親、もしくは祖父母か曾祖父母などが日本出身、つまり、日系、という意味になります。
- I think his father is of Greek descent.
- There are a lot of people of Chinese descent living in Vancouver.
- a: Is she French?
b: I think she's of mixed descent. I heard that her father's family came from Russia.
