Explanation

  • If someone is of, for example, Japanese descent, their parents or grandparents or great-grandparents, etc., were from Japan.
  • 人について、例えば、 Japanese descent と言うと、その人の両親、もしくは祖父母か曾祖父母などが日本出身、つまり、日系、という意味になります。
