Explanation

  • The sights of a city, country, or other area are the beautiful or interesting places there that tourists visit.

    Be Careful! We rarely use the singular form “sight”.

    Sightseeing is the act of touring an area in order to see the sights.
  • sights とは、都市や国などの地域の、観光客が訪れる美しい、または面白い場所、つまり、名所のことです。

    注意:「名所」という意味では、単数形の “sight” はめったに使いません。

    sightseeing とは、名所を見るために、ある地域を旅行すること、つまり、観光のことです。
