Monday was Labor Thanksgiving Day in Japan, and today it's Thanksgiving Day in the United States. With so much to be thankful for, today's topic was a no-brainer!
THANKS TO ~のおかげで、~のために
- Thanks to means “because of” and is used to explain why something happens.
Be Careful! We use this expression to show that we're either happy or unhappy about what happens. - thanks to は、because of (~のために)と同じ意味で、あることが起きた理由を説明するのに使われます。
注意:この表現は、起こったことについて、満足している、または満足していないということを表すために使います。
- Thanks to e-mail and broadband phone service, it's easy to stay in touch with my friends back in the States.
- I was able to get a B+ in chemistry, thanks to my amazing tutor!
